We have a right to clean air, water, and non-toxic food.
Climate change caused by environmental hazards can be altered by protecting natural resources such as forests and rivers, using clean energy sources such as wind and solar, replacing plastic and cardboard beverage containers with re-usable glass, replacing packing materials with biodegradable materials, and banning plastic grocery bags.
We must hold corporate polluters accountable with higher fines and making them responsible for clean-up. We must ban out-of-state trash and the building of new landfills and limit the expansion of existing landfills. Limiting what needs to go into a landfill, reduces the need for new landfills and extends the life of existing ones.
